When and how did you discover your favorite smoothie? Mine was unforgettable, because, along with a cup of Strawberry Smoothie, I won a friend and discovered a new happy place.

It was a hot summer in 2015 when I was ordered by my doctor to cut on caffeine. It was a sad day. Then, I accompanied my friends to this newly opened coffee shop where we met a friendly barista. He noticed that I was only having a muffin, and started talking to us. Then, he went into the bar and started making things. He whipped me a small cup of matcha, a shot glass of fresh ginger lime tonic, and finally, he made me try a Strawberry Smoothie, and it became my favorite.

I had reason to believe that the cafe started offering Strawberry Smoothies because of me. And I didn’t mind at all because they make them so good, I kept coming back for more.

I found life after coffee. That was saying a lot as for the past ten years, I was a coffeeholic. In my desire to be an excellent manager and an A-list MBA student, I became reliant on caffeine which kept me awake and engaging despite having three to five hours of sleep in my worst weeks. That bad habit progressed until the night my heart was beating so fast, I thought I was going to die.

Strawberry Smoothie

In the following months, it became a habit for me to be caught sipping happiness in a cup in the form of Strawberry Smoothie. The warm colors and friendly atmosphere in Ted’s coffee shop made the day even more special. Indeed, it was a great hangout on weekends. The same people kept visiting so it was easy to make new friends. And on less happy days, dropping by the cafe lifted my mood before I went home.

There is so much wonder in this ruby-colored fruit. Strawberries only grow in beautiful places. So, whenever I eat or drink one, I reminisce about the endless flower roads in a vineyard in Nebraska, the multicolored mountains of Pennsylvania, and the vast evergreen farms of Georgia.

Strawberry is the superfood we’ve been eating as children. This proves that healthy food can also be delicious. A cup of Strawberry Smoothie recalls so many wonderful childhood memories. Remember that Strawberry Short Cake mom made you for being good children.

Strawberry was the perfect first smoothie for me. And it will always have a place in my heart. The best thing about smoothies though is that they come in a variety of flavors. And flavors bring joy in life!

During my weekends at the cafe, my favorites were Mango, Chocolate, and Wild Berry. My enthusiastic barista friend was always eager to make me try their new flavors. At that rate, I was the shop’s unofficial guinea pig.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

On month-ends, I demand Chocolate Smoothie. I’m angry, tired, and frustrated. I could probably murder someone if I’m deprived of this strong but sweet comfort food. Chocolate is like ambrosia from the heavens. Take a sip, and you would forget the world for the rest of the world.

Ted, however, promised me something better. He teased that I was in for a treat. And like a mad scientist, he presented me with a generous fill of Chocolate Banana Smoothie.

It was chocolate but better. I couldn’t miss that strong cocoa flavor that makes me melt. But now, it was accompanied by the sweet, creamy, and rich Banana. The combination was so good, it felt like Brad Pitt and Chris Hemsworth giving me flowers.

The added Banana flavor comes with more surprises! Banana promotes good digestion, heart health, and weight loss. This tropical superfood is full of antioxidants that keep you young and fresh. It’s also high in the happy and stress-free Vitamin B6.

Strawberry Smoothie or Chocolate Banana Smoothie?

Today, and in the coming days or weeks, I will be asking Ted for a cup of Chocolate Banana Smoothie. But I know in my heart that I will always go back to Strawberry. It’s deliciously healthy and it’s lower sugar level is perfect for my diet.
